Berlin highlights close to the hotel
Located in the charmingly vivacious Charlottenburg district, KPM Hotel & Residences is the ideal starting point for guests who enjoy the proximity to the capital’s sights and shopping promenades, but also prefer a quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of the metropolis for their overnight stay. Berlin’s largest landscaped garden, the Tiergarten Park, is just a few minutes away on foot, as is the Victory Column—the landmark of Tiergarten visible from afar, adorned by the legendary “Goldelse” (or “Golden Elsie”).
Spreeweg
Every Saturday, one of Berlin’s best-known flea markets, located just around the corner from the hotel, is open to strollers and rummagers.
One of the most beautiful yet Berlin-typical walking paths also lies just a few metres from the hotel: the Spreeweg extending along the shores of the capital’s most famous waterway. If you follow it eastward, you’ll soon find yourself in the middle of the Government District.
In the summer and early autumn, you can travel part of the way back from there to the hotel on board one of the excursion vessels of Berlin’s White Fleet. There is a boarding dock right next to the Federal Chancellery.
KPM-Quartier
The area around the legendary Kurfürstendamm—home to such shopping institutions as the KaDeWe, several luxury boutiques, and the colourfully chic shopping and nightlife temple “Bikini Berlin”—can be reached just as quickly from the KPM Quarter as the majestic boulevard Unter den Linden or Friedrichstrasse, the Gendarmenmarkt or the Komische Oper.
