“KPM Berlin belongs to my city like the Brandenburg Gate” – for the tradition-conscious Berlin private banker Jörg Woltmann, saving the Royal Porcelain Manufactory founded by Prussian King Frederick II in 1763 was a matter close to his heart. 13 years later, the successful businessman and KPM sole shareholder is adding extra glamour to the luxury brand KPM Berlin: on September 16, 2019, the eagerly awaited soft opening of the new KPM Hotel & Residences took place.

The Potsdam architects Annette Axthelm and Henner Rolvien have designed a hotel building with its own character – individual and stylistically exceptional. An architectural eye-catcher in the heart of the KPM quarter in Berlin-Charlottenburg. The steel façade with its striking floor-to-ceiling panorama windows and the bay windows that appear to have been inserted like boxes radiates three-dimensional liveliness. Inside, the elegant color scheme in white, gray and black and the high-quality materials catch the eye.

HISTORY
The KPM Hotel & Residences is a newly built hotel, but there is still plenty of history. History that can be experienced at first hand through the direct vicinity to the traditional building ensemble of the Royal Porcelain Manufactory Berlin. The name of the hotel and its exclusive location on the extensive manufactory grounds in Wegelystrasse refer to the 250-year history of the Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin, founded by King Frederick II.
