The fine KPM porcelain was fired in the historic circular chamber kiln hall until the 1960s. Since the turn of the century, the entire site has been undergoing a process of modernisation in line with its listed status, under the direction of the multi-award-winning architecture firm Gerkan, Marg & Partner. The ring chamber kiln hall, which has been restored and boasts one of the oldest surviving self-supporting steel roof structures in Berlin, is divided into three sections: The front and rear sections house part of the KPM Berlin exhibition. The entire area can be rented for evening events. The KPM flagship store, including the II. Sortierung showroom, is located in the upper area, one floor above the historic kilns. The store is also available as an event space, but this is subject to opening hours.
